Meeks Cabin Campground Near Robertson, WY

Overview

Meeks Cabin Campground is on the banks of Meeks Cabin Reservoir at an 8,700 foot elevation. Meeks Cabin Reservoir is situated in both Utah and the southwest corner of Wyoming. The sites are first come first served from June 4, 2021 – Sept. 6, 2021. In other words you are required to be physically at the campgrounds to claim a site.

How to Get to Meeks Cabin Campground

From Mountain View, WY, take State Rt. 410 south 12.9 miles to Blacks Fork Access sign (County Rt. 271).

Turn left at sign onto Rt. 271 and go 13.1 miles to the forest boundary – here, Rt. 271 becomes Forest Rt. 058.

Continue on Rt. 058 for 2.3 miles to the campground sign. Turn left at the sign and go 0.7 miles to the campground.

Recreation

The 470-acre dam, though not a swimmer’s destination, allows for boating and fishing. The campground has lake access, however the boat ramp is closer to the dam.

Facilities

The campground is shaded and offers 24 single camp sites each with picnic table, fire ring and vault toilet restrooms available.

Natural Features

This pine and aspen-filled campground is a single loop overlooking the water.

What You Need to Know Before Going to Meeks Cabins

There are no electrical, water, or sewer hookups available at this location.

Extra Vehicles: One vehicle is included in your single campsite fee; two in your double campsite fee. Each additional vehicle must fit safely on the spur and will be charged a per day fee that is collected on site (cash or check only).

ATVs are not allowed on the highway unless licensed.

Quiet hours: 10 p.m. – 6 a.m.

Trailers/Campers and RVs: Please fill up with water before arriving on site. There is no place to fill-up on site and hooking up to spigots is not allowed.

Please understand that camping is an outdoor experience; therefore, we do not give refunds or credits for weather or natural conditions.
