Canton TX KOA Review: Amazing Reasons To Visit Today

The KOA of Canton, Texas is located within the Silver Spur Resort. The resort is situated on 34 acres. It was a 60 mile drive east of Dallas on Interstate 20, which made for a quick getaway for me and the family.

The KOA portion of the resort has approximately 100 RV spots that include back in, pull through and patio campsites. They have several deluxe cabins and specialty lodging options that are part of the KOA.

What kind of accommodations are there at Canton KOA?

We booked a Deluxe Cabin for the night , and marveled in the creature comforts that followed us from Dallas. I had my own bedroom to myself and there was a full size bed and bunk beds as well, plenty of room for my older three boys. This cabin came with a full size fridge and also a microwave and a sink as well. Couple that with the full size bathroom and we were set for the day.

100 ft from the spacious back porch was the most peaceful pond, perfect for fishing. It is a catch-and-release pond stocked with various fish. The owner mentioned they had just stocked it and the fish were biting that day! My youngest son got to fish for the first time in his life and absolutely loved it!

What is there to eat at Canton KOA?

Canton KOA has a fantastic restaurant onsite called the Q and Brew restaurant and brew pub is on-site to deliver great food and exceptional service. You can eat inside the restaurant or even get it delivered straight to your RV site! We arrived on Taco Tuesday night and we were treated to some of the best street tacos I’ve ever had! It is a rare thing to find a KOA with a restaurant at the campgrounds so we took advantage of this unique feature!
